Theatre and Dance chairman named

Robert Schmidt, professor and interim chairperson of the Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at Austin since August 2006, has been appointed the new chairperson of the department, effective June 1.

The former chair of the department, Professor Richard Isackes, resigned as chairperson in 2006 and continues to teach in the department.
