Say no to corporate welfare

Small businesses in Austin don't get subsidies. And they bring more money in to the local economy.

Big, multinational businesses don't deserver subsidies at the expense of the small businesses in Austin.

Vote for Prop 2!

Fund Out Of State Companies With Local Tax Dollars?

Why should we pay companies to come in and compete with our local businesses? A legal agreement has been made that the city can back out of this bad deal without penalty. So let's stop this thing while we can.

Domain Subsidy

Vote for Prop. 2 on Nov. 4. I've had enough of corporate welfare. Simon Property does not deserve and Endeavor should never have asked for this subsidy. If a real estate project is not self-supporting then it should not be built.

I know the city (Will Wynn) wants a second downtown on The Domain property, but there are more creative ways to promote certain types of development than a tax giveaway!!!

Where are the promised $35,000/yr average mall jobs?
The 4 acres of open space? Why did the developer hide their true compensation using annual sales/square foot projections of less than a Home Depot? The city doesn't owe this mall owner one red cent pursuant to a legal settlement in 2004. Vote FOR Prop 2.

Mueller and Prop 2

I wish the Domain Subsidies were all that is at stake. Mueller, while publicly-funded to provide infrastructure improvement, also has a current, and more importantly a Town Center Retail component and as such, is at risk of suffering amenities and lawsuit-oriented delays in construction from Prop 2.
