We made this video for our friends (and yours) that haven't yet felt the power of our friend the RSS reader. We want to convert people and if you know someone who would love RSS and hasn't yet tried it, point them here for 3.5 minutes.
Additional Notes
In the early days of RSS and oh.. on up to 2004-2005, you probably needed 3rd party software to read RSS feeds. It's not strictly true any more. Most modern browsers and email readers will let you read RSS feeds with a few simple clicks. For example,
- Click here to see the RSS feed for the home page of this site (works with Firefox, IE7, Safari & Opera)
- If you use Mozilla Thunderbird to read your emails and already have an RSS & Blog account
- Go to Tools > Account and click on RSS & Blog account
- Next, click on the Manage Subscriptions button and then Add. You should now be in the Feed Properties window.
- Drag the icon above into the Feed URL input box, click OK, and you should be done.
- If you don't have a RSS & Blog account you will have to create one first. Tools > Account and then Add Account
- On the Northloop Neighborhoods website, pages with RSS feeds display the
on the right hand side of the top menu bar. - The feed for the NNDL forum may be found at http://northloop.14gram.com/forums/nndl/feed
