Re: [nndl] Re: [NNADL] FW: why start I Love North Loop

Sandra-The entire point of the site was to represent the views of the neighbors (many of the ones who won a majority vote last night) who had no idea that this development was even being planned until two or three days before the vote, thanks to our flyers. And there were a lot of them. Some of us, who created the I Love North Loop site, felt that it would be unfair for the compatibility variance to be voted on without these people's knowledge. We also felt that voting yes without having more time to think about it and discuss the issue would be a bad idea.- To respond privately, use the "Reply" command. To post to the list "Forward" to [at] - I want to comment that this new website is really a Blog by an neighbor within the neighborhood. The blog has a great name and maybe we should buy it because of that but the official website is a singular site always referenced in the emails, at the bottom, coming from the NNDL email list and the NNADL email lists.
What I think we will need to consider is having one email list.

I agree with the points made by Beca and Pat. This "new" website
does not represent my views and I must say I have real concerns with
the manner in which the information regarding this issue was
communicated and distributed. I feel that this will be confusing and
a distraction from our REAL neighborhood association. It takes enough
time to stay involved with the NNA as it is - we need more help with
content and distribution of our Association Newsletter.

Beka, I agree! Remember last night that one of the local attendees
(don't know if he is in the 'hood or not) was complaining that he had
not been informed--to pretty widespread scoffing in the crowd. I
agree--we need to unite, not divide.

You may post this if you choose, Pat Taylor

Isn't that what the nnAdl was for? Just for Northfield neighbors?

And there is nndl and nlnpt for those with broader interests.

Why start another? To me it just adds confusion and creates another

fracture
in the neighborhood.
