Hello.A few of us just had yet another meeting with Jamil fromEndeavor. He wanted neighbors who had concerns to come out to meet withhim and talk about their concerns, but alas, almost none of them showedup.
There were only 4 of us there -- 3 of us have met with him repeatedly inthe past, and one new person was there to hear directly from him whatthe plan was.
There have been repeated claims made recently that Jamil and Endeavorhave been unreceptive, inflexible, and have "turned a deaf ear" toneighbors' concerns. This is so untrue, I just can not stand by and letpeople continue to make those claims without saying something.
- Jamil has come to 3 neighborhood meetings and one planning teammeeting.
- He has dealt with dozens or possibly hundreds of e-mails and phonecalls from individuals in the neighborhood.
- He and his colleagues have met neighbors informally at coffee shops onweekends and after hours.
- He organized yet another meeting this morning.
And nobody came.
Specifically the people who (through their e-mails, flyers posted onpeople's doors, and their website) have claimed that Endeavor is notreceptive to communication with concerned neighbors.
Those people were not there today.
They may say that this developer has been unreceptive and unwilling tocommunicate, but honestly, that's not how I see it.I just had a veryinformative 90-minute conversation with Jamil -- it is one of MANY thatI have had with him since July, and everybody has been invited to everyone of those meetings.
Just wanted to get the facts straight.
Thank you.
