I have no intention of getting in the middle of this short of making one
brief comment: your characterization of Sebastian's remarks is quite
unfair. I was at the meeting in question and -- world renowned expert
or no -- Pharis did grossly misrepresent the discussion that took place
with the developer. The developer repeatedly indicated that they can't
say or commit to anything regarding the orientation or precise location
of the parking garage until they find out from TxDOT where they will be
allowed to make a curb cut on Koenig Lane. Whether or not you choose to
believe that the developer is telling the truth is another matter;
however, this is what they said.

Furthermore, it is you who is engaging in personal attacks and baseless
conspiracy insinuations. How come I've known for months that Endeavor
planned to request a variance? Perhaps it is because I'm on the NNADL
list, the forum on which this matter has been discussed?
And you can be certain that I haven't had any secret meetings with the
developer, nor do I even think this is a particularly good project (or
perhaps I should say we could do much better), but it sure is annoying
to see someone who apparently can't even be bothered with subscribing to
the official neighborhood list serve taking cheap shots at someone who
tirelessly puts in hours of free labor every week trying to improve the
neighborhood. If your goal is to try and stop this development, then
you've very likely hurt your cause by attacking someone well known for
both his integrity and concern for the well being of the neighborhood.
Finally, it is most certainly not Sebastian's job to "engage residents
not presently active in the NA". If anything, it's the developer who's
seeking a variance's job; but think about it: what you're basically
telling us is that it's someone else's responsibility that you're too
f'ing lazy to keep up with what's going on in the neighborhood. Sure,
um, absolutely.

My sentiments precisely.
