You should be commended Clay for getting people interested and bring
people out to the meeting. That act generated an interest in our
neighborhood by our neighbors. That's fantastic.
And, within a democracy you are within your right to voice your opinion
on what your prefer or don't prefer, and start a website to supply
opinions or other information as you see fit. We all have the right to
review or not review that opinion since its publicly posted, and supply
our opinions afterwards publicly or amongst neighbors.
Now that most of us have been to the meeting and are aware of the
potential for change on that site, we need to be discussing options,
probabilities for bad/ good development and define what is best and
what developer will serve us best.
My opinion, Endeavor has the funding and street friendly sense to
develop it properly with our concerns taken seriously. I'm not certain
another developer working within compatibility will work with us they
won't have to when working within compatibility.

Would anyone on this like to talk about anything other than how
terrible I am for trying to get more neighbors informed about this
development and involved in the neighborhood association?
Like perhaps what kinds of good projects can be developed on
this land within compatibility guidelines, that fits in better with the
neighborhood plan?
While some people would rather deride me for not allowing
personal attacks on my character to be posted on the blog I built, I
don't see how this kind of talk is productive at all. It certainly
isn't going to scare me away from the table, if that is the goal.
It's petty, it's childish, and it's just plain mean.

A group of bicycle activist bloggers have somehow been

It suddenly occurred to me that you must be talking about Mike
Dahmus, who is really more of a sensible compact urban growth activist
than a bicycle activist. I've known Mike for many years,
and, although a curmudgeon from head to toe, he always has intelligent
things to say about urban planning/growth. Best of all,
he never worries whose toes he's stepping on when stating his opinion
on an issue, which is how he got kicked off the Urban Transportation
Commission. Of course, as it turns out, he was
completely correct in his analysis and the dingbat city council member
who fired him completely wrong, but he who signs the pink slips always
wins. I would have enjoyed reading Mike's comments even
if he doesn't live in the neighborhood, and we would likely benefit
from his observations/experience/insight, which is why these
discussions should take place on a subscriber-based list with a neutral
moderator and specifically delineated posting rules. I
didn't know Mike was even aware of the Endeavor proposal until he
contacted me yesterday to point out comments he had written up about it.
