one other design/build team to add to your list is my (new :-)  husband & his business partner:  Madera & Hughes at 452-2045 (business line)  or 426-8205  (Fred Hughes' cell)  - 

Mark and Fred have been working in the central Austin area for almost 30 years with many happy references -  Crestview, Allandale, Rosedale, Rollingwood, Hyde Park; they've got homes they've remodeled in all of them & more-

Will Owen is great and is from the hood. Some friends in
Allendale have used Pope designs and have been happy.

I highly recommend Greg Madsen at Form and Function - he's in the
hood, is responsible and very capable. His number is 459-7374.

We've used Joe Zakes. He and his 'Almost Perfect Construction'
have done everything from carports to a whole (4 Star award
winning) house for us. Obviously the "almost" is meant as irony.

bid to be competitive.
