Yes, I agree.  It will save me from having to automatically delete any
messages titled 'Planning Committee Results' after seeing how this
discussion has degenerated.  Disclaimer: I am a friend of Patrick's and
a long time member of both the NLNPT and the NNA -  is the target going

Alright... You are arrogant and self righteous aren't you? (as mentioned by

several neighbors so far today) I gave you one apology, you're not getting another one. There is no part of 56th street that is any narrower between the house

and proposed VMU than any other. By the way, most of the neighborhood doesn't like you. They're just too

polite to say it like me. Don't respond... Sorry neighbors, this is the end of our little personal spat. I'll

visit him at home if I need to say anything else. -----Original Message-----

should have personally knocked on your door to talk this over with you

before proceeding, since your opinion is the only one that matters.

While that is a rather interesting perspective, the fact of the matter

is that every adult Austinite was given ample opportunity to weigh in on the VMU issue. There were endless meetings about this, Brewster

McCracken presented his roadshow at dozens of neighborhood meetings and widely advertised events, and you could easily have attended the NLNPT

meeting where this was being discussed to voice your opinion. So the response to your assertion is simply: no. It is not anyone's

responsibility to directly consult you about anything that doesn't

pertain to your personal property. Sorry about that. If you don't get

off your ass to vote, your vote is not going to get counted -- it's as

simple as that. And I completely agree that democracy is the worst

political system that's ever been proposed -- except for all the others that have been tried so far. > And I promise that no one on the

least one member of the planning team's house is closer to the

commercial property between Koenig and 56th than yours? _______________________________________________
