As usual, the Travis County action is found in the Democratic primary, which may be one reason veteran Travis County Republican Chairman Alan Sager isn’t running again.

Probably the most interesting local race this spring is a free-for-all among four candidates to replace their current boss, retiring Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle.

Gary Cobb, Rosemary Lehmberg, Mindy Montford, and Rick Reed are all running.

Another barn-burner could be the primary challenge by former state representative Glen Maxey...
