Zimbabwe's security forces were placed on full alert Friday to head off possible violence at this weekend's elections as President Robert Mugabe's opponents feared the outcome had already been fixed.(AFP iactiv)AFP - Polls opened in Zimbabwe on Saturday at the start of joint parliamentary and presidential elections in which veteran leader Robert Mugabe is looking to secure another five years in office.
