Before arriving at SXSW Interactive, we’d heard that location-based services were going to be the big thing at SXSW 2010.

Not wanting to be left out, we revived our Foursquare account, and downloaded the Gowalla app for the iPhone.

When we first checked in with Foursquare at SXSW, it came with surprise. Turns out checking in with Foursquare at locations around Austin during SXSWi helps painlessly raise money to help Haiti .
