In working on city issues for many years, I've dealt with many NA's, and
can honestly say that the Northfield NA *is* the coolest and best from
every possible perspective. (And if you ask the neighborhood planning
staff, they will likely happily concur.) If I lived in Hyde Park, I
would have to secede from the NA and declare my property to be in south
Northfield, which sounds really weird.
Furthermore, the good news is, it still is! I suggest we all agree to
stop rehashing old issues and look to the future. 95% or more of the
Endeavor discussion was thoughtful and well intentioned. Although
emotions and tempers occasionally flared, the important thing is not to
take these kinds of things personally. It's all part of the process of
creating community.
