Greetings.
The U.T. Board of Regents is considering selling or developing the
University-owned land next to Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake). That would
include the student housing, the golf course on Enfield Road, and some
other property near the dam owned by the University.
There is a meeting TODAY to discuss this issue. Below is a note I
received from Jennifer Kim:
As you may be aware, a UT task force has recommended development of the
Brackenridge tract including Lions Municipal Golf Course, the field lab
and the student affordable housing. On Friday, Nov 9th the UT System
Board of Regents will be holding a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. at Ashbel
Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th St. This is an opportunity for the community and
the neighborhood to voice our opinions and concerns. I encourage
everyone with an interest in this issue to join me in testifying. If you
