Three men
sought in assault Austin police are looking for three men suspected of kidnapping and
sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl near Burnet Road and Koenig
Lane in North Austin. Investigators say three men in a beige Chrysler sedan approached the
girl about 6 p.m. Jan. 10 as she walked from a bus stop across the
parking lot of an H-E-B on Burnet Road. A back seat passenger in the
car asked for her phone number, and she ignored him, police say. The
man then got out of the car and grabbed the girl's arm. Anyone with more information about the incident is asked to call child
abuse detectives at 974-6679.

15-year-old
boy hit by car A teenage boy was hit by a car as he rode his bicycle on North Lamar
Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon. The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to Brackenridge
Hospital and was in critical but stable condition late Wednesday,
police said. Sgt. Tyson McGowan said the teen was riding north in the 5400 block of
Lamar about 4:30 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a minivan driven
by a 58-year-old man. He landed in the middle turn lane, and he
received a head injury.

The street
was closed until 7 p.m. for the investigation.
