[nndl] Off-topic (No Kill Resolution)

Hi neighbors,

Tomorrow, the Austin City Council will decide whether to adopt a No Kill plan for Austin's animal shelter.  The plan, written by the Animal Advisory Commission over a period of months, calls for basic solutions to reduce shelter killing, like off-site adoptions at multiple locations, a large-scale foster program, marketing, and low-cost spay-neuter surgeries.

If at all possible, I'm asking you to please show up tomorrow at City Hall between 8am and 10am to please sign up in favor of the No Kill resolution, item #40.  You don't have to stay or speak if you don't want to.  And if you can't show up, please send a quick note to the City Council asking them to please support item #40, the No Kill plan for Austin.  You can e-mail all of them at once at this address:  http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/council/groupemail.htm
