Dear Friends of the Hope Food Pantry Austin,

least 30 more turkeys than last year.  This ties in with our holiday season goal of serving 10 more families each week and/or at least provide a small bag of produce to those we are not able to serve.  With such lingering hard economic times these goals are of the essence.

Please consider a monetary donation, dropping off some canned Thanksgiving food items, and/or volunteering during this busy time. Your continued support for Hope to meet these goals are needed.  I can be reached at [at] with any questions.

Many blessings and happy holidays to you all,
Stephanie Humphreys

WHAT WE DO:
The Hope Food Pantry Austin (Hope) is open every Thursday and Friday from 10a.m. - Noon. Volunteers open the pantry, interview the clients, and bag the groceries to each family's request. Many of our clients are elderly, single parents, homeless, disabled, jobless or under-employed.  In 2008, Hope served 7844 individuals those of whom 4339 were children.   Hope provides canned vegetables, soup, pasta and pasta sauce, canned and frozen meat, rice and beans, peanut butter, juice, cereal, bread, snacks and fresh produce. Based on
availability, we provide special request items such as toilet paper, diapers, baby food, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, trash bags, sugar, and coffee.

We are funded by individuals, churches, small grants and fundraisers. These financial gifts are used to purchase groceries, office supplies, and the salary for the part-time Excutive Director.
