Dear Clay,

Actually, many of us did say "Oh no, Howard's is up for sale, what in the world
is going to be there?". Consequently, we were delighted, thrilled and
astonished that the buyer, Endeavor, came to talk to us.

Furthermore, the for sale sign at Howard's was not hidden - a good reason to
investigate to see if there was an NA to join, talk to, work with, etc.

If memory serves, the Howard family was also very pleased that the buyer was
going to talk to the neighborhood. The family was a good neighbor and had our
interests in their minds. Of course, their family came/comes first. Just like
our families do.

Best to all,

Mary
