Hi Martha,   Barter economies have a great chance to flourish, given what's happening in the world.  Tom Greco has written extensively about healthy local economies.  His books are all free to read online.    I have a presentation that's hands-on, includes chocolate, a game and other props to explain some of Greco's basic ideas of community exchange systems.    I would be happy to do the presentation for any interested group.  I am by no means an expert, but I think I could start a good conversation.   This stuff can keep people working and trading if the economy really tanks.   No cost.
