child predator and a drug dealer in the neighborhood

 

A child whose grandparents live on 53 1/2 Street between Harmon and
Bennett was approached by a man in red midsized pick-up truck with a white
stripe on the sides.  The man rolled down his window and asked the child,
a small girl, in both Spanish and English, if she would like to come for a ride
with him.  Fortunately, one of our neighbors saw this and yelled for the
girl to get away.  The truck drove off.  Because the male driver was
inside the truck, the neighbor didn't get a good enough look at him to get a
description.  The police were notified.  Please be on the lookout -
another neighbor thinks she's seen a truck matching that description in the
Chair King lot in the mornings when the workers congregate.

 

Additionally, there is a side apartment at 925 East 53 1/2 (SE corner
of 53 1/2 and Bennett) that appears to be the home of a drug dealer. 
Numerous cars make quick visits to this location at all hours of the day and
night.  The very nice older man who lives in the main house has been
awakened at all hours by the tenant's "clients".
