[nndl] O- Fuegos-7600 N. Lamar , and/or Arpeggio - a bit closer & Kick-Butt...
No Way, I took my daughter and son n law to Fuegos for a late lunch today - we all had the fish tacos - I had the Ahi Salad the day before - we finished by sharing a flan - 1 for 3 was sufficient. Thanks, PrezKim, for bringing this great restaurant recommendation to the hood.
Another option Ridgetop neighbor, Doug R. on Bennett and 53 1/2, who is a fab-O cook d Italiano - and is singing bass tonight at the Long Center w. Conspirare's Verdi's "Requim" recommended that Arpeggio, on Airport, north of Highland Mall a couple blocks. (its in the same center as the long established Tai Chi place.) Good food, good prices - great gyro - and nice vegetarian options, too. He has tried it a number of times, and consistently liked it. Any body else familiar w/
this place?
and then there is ...... Even closer on Airport, Kick Butt Coffee, has wonderful coffee, for them that imbibe, and nights w/ open mike for comedy and another for music. This is the brain-child Tom Goehring (sp?) the owner of the Tai Chi training spot near Arpeggio, mentioned above.
By the way, our own Burger-Tex on Airport, across from Travis County offices, continues to put out yummy food for reasonable cost. This was verified most recently when the newly emerging "A Cool Community Connecting Together" met there Thursday. Curious? For more about this first gathering of Ridgetop's and Northfield's diverse community and how participating in this refreshing way may suit you.....well, another email is likely
to arrive at your in-box, or you can call me, if you want to know now. Martha Ridgetop

We just had lunch there and it was wonderful. The fish tacos were
awesome and the crab enchiladas were flavorful and stuffed with real
crab. We'll definitely be going back. The only problem was figuring
out how to get into the parking lot - we were heading north on Lamar
and I forgot that I had to do that turnaround at the Anderson Ln.
intersection.
