Hi All,
This is a reminder that the Northfield Neighborhood Association will
meet tomorrow night -
Monday, February 2, 7pm - at the Dayspring Chapel at 55th and Ave G.
In the first half of the meeting we will hear from Austin Energy rep
Ed Clark who will principally be discussing
the upcoming changeover to digital meters.
The second half of the meeting has been set aside to discuss a
proposed zoning change for 100 E. North Loop that would allow
the sale of liquor in a proposed bar. The applicant, Pam Pritchard,
seeks support from the neighborhood. Following her presentation the
NA will discuss and vote to support or oppose.
If you would like to vote, please be sure that your membership dues
are current. If you are unsure of the status of your membership please
contact Treasurer Annie Ervin or come a little early
with $5. If you are paying with cash, please place it in an unsealed
envelope with your name and address listed on it so Annie can more
easily gather and record your payment.
Should time allow at the end of the meeting, Michael Tirres will
briefly share information regarding the replacement of residential
sewage lines. Most of the homes in our area have
lines that were not built to last more than 50 years.
Our VP Clay Crenshaw will be conducting the meeting in my absence.
Co-Secretary Lindsey Schell will be in charge of regulating time
allotted to the zoning request to no more than 10 minutes for the
presenter and no more than 20 minutes
for discussion and a vote.
Thanks to Co-Secretary Lisa Wright for suggesting and scheduling our
guest speaker from Austin Energy.
NEXT MONTH:
We have been invited to hold our March meeting at Phara's. I think
this sounds great and would like to do so unless there is overwhelming
opposition to this idea.
Details as the date gets closer.
Best,
Jody Horton

Is there a procedure to ask
Is there a procedure to ask about question we have? Currently we have a Renters/Owners clash on Nelray Blvd regarding the throwing of a football in the street (it hits cars and impedes traffic etc..). Any course of action is appreciated.
