[nndl] Green Space Funding/Austin Parks Foundation

Since the $14,000 in City funds are already earmarked for Bruning Green and a great deal of planning has gone into those improvements, I thought it might be helpful to offer alternative suggestions for funding the new green space and children's playground at 55 1/2th St. 
 
* private neighborhood fundraising (it works...the Neighborhood Watch raised almost $1,200 in 3 months);
 
* seeking additional support from the Austin Parks Foundation: http://www.austinparks.org/about.html and neighborhood businesses;
 

* formally requesting assistance from the NNA and NLPLT.
 

I won't be able to attend the NNA meeting on Monday, but I would like to request that this item be placed on the agenda, if time permits.  Would it be possible to add it to the next NLPLT agenda as well?
