For Immediate Release:

Community radio @ 91.7 FM brings you the KO.OP 'Shades of Green'
program each Thursday afternoon @ 1p.m. and we're into 'trains of
thought' lately - as we continue the series on Green Jobs for Texans
with VAN JONES. As well, author CAROL SUE TOMBARI begins this week's
2-part discussion on the relationship between renewable energy and
electric utilities (the second comes next week, and it will have
regional focus). Her new book takes a national look at Power of the
People: America's New Electricity Choices.

"SHADES" focuses an hour a week on environmental topics including
RENEWABLE ENERGY, PERMACULTURE, CONSERVATION, NATURAL BUILDING and
central Texas' continuing enthusiasm for health-oriented LIFE STYLE
choices. If you live in a valley west of our central Austin broadcast
signal, you may
Listen to the Live stereo webstream through
<www.koop.org>

Our radio magazine includes: Interviews, News, Music & Announcements,
EcoFactoids, features on "Science & The SEA," and Howie Richey's
Eco-Calendar of Events...
