Hello!

i'm happy to hear that you want to help out
we are totally about this being a community project for our kids
i am both a teacher here at Ridgetop and the contact person for the gardening committee
so here is a skeleton of what we are doing next...
meeting - 12:00 this saturday in the cafeteria at ridgetop elementary
planning meeting for upcoming gardening day March 5th
we already have a plan (due to our december gardening day being rained out)
the goal for this day is to...
spring clean: weed, repot, mulch, water, etc
build four garden beds in the NW outdoor classroom
spreading wildflower seeds
building two beds in back area
(there might be more)

Hello, Ms. Ayala, I had spoken with Mr. Gloria recently about your Gardening Committee for Ridgetop. I wondered if you had a next meeting date that I might attend? I live in the neighborhood and think the idea of working on gardening projects for the school is a great idea. What projects do you have in mind and how many are on your committee? I can't remember if Mr. Gloria said you were the chair of the committee, or a parent, or a teacher, so if it isn't too much trouble, perhaps you could fill me in on how the group came to be?
Best wishes, Ellen Williams
