Hi Martha,

Here's the email Alison Young, this
year's event organizer, sent out. She is in Hancock so I am sure it will go out to (or has gone out to) the Hyde Park and Hancock N.A. lists. Please share with your neighbors in Ridgetop. Also, if you know folks in Northfield, please share with them as well. Thanks!

If you want to have Ridgetop NA materials available at the HPNA membership table in the hopes of attracting new participants who will help rejuvenate your N.A. let me know and I will see if I can set that up.

Lisa

A message from Alison Young [at] .

Hi neighbor, I'm hosting an It's My Park Day event on March 6 at Shipe Park, located in Hyde Park on 45th St. between Speedway and Duval (near the Elisabet Ney Museum). Every spring, volunteers like you meet at Shipe Park for a day of creek cleanup, sprucing, mulching, painting, planting, raking, building and playing. It's a great way to meet your neighbors and pay your respects to the wonderful park where many of us and/or our children love to play on the playscape, learn to swim, exercise our dogs or have picnics. I hope you can come help out! We'll provide tools and instructions. It's My Park Day is a citywide volunteer event to improve Austin's parks and green spaces. All volunteers receive cool tee shirts and yummy snacks. If you have carpentry, landscaping, or other special skills and would like to be a project captain, please contact Alison Young once you have registered. Thanks a million!!!
