Capital Metro is seeking busker-style musicians to perform at upcoming events at their rail and bus facilities. Any individual player, band, or other music ensembles that reside in the greater Austin area are eligible to apply.

The purpose of this request is to assemble a pool of musicians that Capital Metro can utilize when events, holidays, or customer appreciation activities planned by the Authority require live music.

All styles of musical expression, both instrumental and/or vocal, composed and/or improvised, are encouraged, including but not limited to classical, mariachi, pop/rock, folk, hip-hop, conjunto, jazz, contemporary, etc.

Capital Metro envisions community supportive music that the random passerby could selectively enjoy or reasonably tune out. Some music would be acoustic. Any electronic equipment or amplification used would be for the purpose of creating sound rather than reinforcing sound.

CRITERIA
All musician(s) must supply all equipment used for performance. Limited electricity is available at some areas but not all.

All entries will be judged on the following criteria:
·                 Creativity
·                 Artistic Merit
·                 Flexibility with regard to weather
·                 Appropriateness to the Capital Metro environment and its mission

Performance times will be in forty-five (45) minute sets.
