There is a group of us
making huge mosaic panels to be hung up (where
ugly grates are now) on a wall in a breezeway at
McCallum High School.
The students are
designing the pictures and and making the mosaics.
Hopefully a win-win for everyone. We are trying to
get as many materials
donated as possible. I am
checking craigslist and my list-serves
regularly. If any of you have leads on a place
that might give us broken
tiles etc. Or if you
are a contractor and have any boxes of broken or
extra tiles, please keep us in mind. We also have
room for any high
school students that would
like to work on this project. Not only should
it be fun, but they can get service hours in too.
All mosaic sessions
will have an adult
supervisor. Please contact me if you have any
