[nndl] Chickens on the loose

Let me start by saying that I am definitely an animal lover, so I don't mind chickens in the 'hood.  In fact, I think it's kind of cool.

However, the last couple days on my way to work, I've seen 2 chickens running loose at 53rd and Avenue G.  Today, they migrated down to 52nd and Avenue G, which means they had to cross busy Koenig at some point.
 
Does anyone know who owns these chickens?  They need to be kept from wandering, as right now I'm afraid they'll be hit by cars, chased by dogs, people, etc.
