I held off on posting this until there was some type of confirmation, and I honestly didn’t think it would come from one of the suspects, but this story is pretty straightforward.

CBS4 has learned at least four people are under arrest in connection with a possible plot to kill Barack Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech in Denver.

All are being held on either drug or weapons charges.

In South Carolina, state lawmakers are debating the legacy of former Gov. Ben Tillman. Historians agree Tillman was an outspoken white supremacist, and lawmakers in Columbia are grappling with how to recognize his past.

One black lawmaker is on a quest to get a statue of Tillman on the statehouse grounds removed. Julie Rose reports from member station WFAE.
