Residents in the Sun City and Georgetown Village neighborhoods in Georgetown are asked to not use irrigation systems or sprinklers and should limit other water use on Sunday, January 29.
The reason is a scheduled outage of the Lake Water Treatment Plant.
On Sunday, the only available water will be in storage tanks.

The Austin City Council voted today to consider what the costs would be to halt construction on Water Treatment Plant No. 4 for five or more years.
The resolution passed 5-2 with Mayor Lee Leffingwell and council member Mike Martinez voting against the measure.
As of June the project has cost the city $123 million.
Costs currently under contract or already spent total $427 million of the $508 million project, and the plant will be completed in 2014 if construction continues.

The Austin City Council will hear more than 130 agenda items today during its first regular meeting after a month-long summer break.
In addition to routine business, the council will vote on several resolutions sponsored by individual council members.
These resolutions include extending safety requirements for construction workers, reconsidering the time line for expanding on-street parking meter hours downtown and potentially delaying construction on Water Treatment Plant No. 4 that is already underway.

It was announced in May that Constructive Ventures plans to build 425 new condos in two 400-500 foot towers on an Austin Energy site just West of the 360 condo project downtown.
This week, the City council's draft agenda for the 10/14 meeting includes an agenda item to review the master development agreement for the site.

For those who feel that the heart of downtown Austin is the aging Green water treatment plant, today is a sad day.
After 83 years, the Green plant has been decommissioned as a first step to redevelopment of the prime site just north of Ladybird lake.

Today, the City of Austin offically selected Trammell Crow, Constructive Ventures, and USAA toredevelop the six acre Green Water Treatment Plant site into a dense multi-use extention of downtown.
As part of the deal, the development team will pay the city $57.9 million for the right to develeop the prime site.

This week the city staff recommended Trammell Crow's proposal for redevelopment of the Green Water Treatment plant tract in downtown Austin.
Trammell Crow, which has been involved in the development of Spring and BartonPlace, proposed the most ambitious plan for the site with the tallest buildings, the most parking, and the biggest diversity of uses.
