Verizon Wireless paid me to take a Storm

I wound up staying with Verizon Wireless and renewed my two-year contract with the carrier. I also ordered a BlackBerry Storm despite a few misgivings based on mixed reviews–it is being sent in 7 to 10 days so with any luck those software glitches that were reported will be fixed.

Verizon Wireless said that “a number of employees” accessed President-Elect Barack Obama’s cell phone records without authorization.

That’s not a great way to introduce yourself to an incoming president. Unfortunately, I’m not surprised.

Verizon Wireless will make Research in Motion’s Blackberry Storm available to the public on Nov. 21. Josh Taylor and others report (Techmeme) report: Verizon just announced that the BlackBerry Storm (aka, the BlackBerry 9530), will be available online and in Verizon Wireless stores beginning Friday, November 21.
