variance request

The meeting will be called to order between 7:15 to 7:30 depending upon if we have any public input. The meeting will be held at St Louis Church at 7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, 78757 in the Library.

Preliminary Agenda:

1) Heidi Goebel (Land Use Committee) will present information about a variance request from a resident on Justin Lane.

We will vote on the action taken. [15 minutes]

2) Who will attend the following meetings. [5 minutes]

If you were planning on attending the Board of Adjustments meeting tonight to defend North Loop against Endeavor’s variance request, you can stay home.

The hearing has been postponed for the third time, verified over the phone by Susan Walker, the City caseworker handling the Endeavor / Howard’s case.

The hearing is now rescheduled for the January 14 BOA meeting.

When it comes to Austin condo zoning, there is one holy grail: there will be no exceptions to the current zoning rules which prohibit new construction within 200 feet of the shore of Lady Bird Lake.

This simple rule, however, made for a difficult decision for the Planning Commission and the City Council.
