I saw this in the comments from my post today, Nearly 1 In 5 Soldiers Have PTSD:

I’m the Vet who contacted Carissa Piccard and Liz Dozier at CBS.

Jonathan & I talked for over an hour today. He agrees that both Carissa & Liz totally rock. So do I - in spades.

Jonathan is still waiting for a medical discharge, wants to get productive again and realizes he has some new limitations with which to deal.

Looks like they’re offering $4M in grants to therapies like yoga, Reiki, Qi gong, spiritual ministry and transcendental meditation.

Health centers land research grant

Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison announced Tuesday that the Department of Defense awarded a $33 million grant to a group of Texas medical institutions known as Mission Connect to further traumatic brain injury research.



 

Iraq Vets Charged with Murder of Fellow Soldier

Army Spc. Kevin Shields was murdered near Fort Carson, Colo., in December after being sent home with a traumatic brain injury.

The three soldiers charged with the crime all served with Shields in Iraq.
