As I watch the following clip, I see a guy who comes off as an genuine, thoughtful conservative thinker.

Sort of like Huckabee, only not as folksy. And, by the way, that’s not a bad thing.

Yahoo’s third quarter earnings weren’t the complete train wreck that was expected as the company met Wall Street estimates and announced a long-awaited layoff.

The company plans to lay off 10 percent of its workforce in the fourth quarter.

So, it looks official. The train engineer who never slowed down before ramming his commuter train into a freight train in California was indeed sending text messages right up to the time of the crash.

That’s bad enough. Twenty-five people died and 135 were injured in the worst train wreck in 15 years.

If you haven’t seen Frontline’s documentary about how we got into Iraq and how it all went wrong, you need to.

It’s probably the most well researched piece I’ve seen so far, and the interviews with insiders are simply stunning.

Many saw this train wreck coming, but Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld just didn’t listen.
