Paul Krugman has won the Nobel Prize in economics. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences says the Princeton economist won "for his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity." Krugman is also a columnist for The New York Times..

American Paul Krugman has won this year's Nobel economics prize for his work on trade patterns, it has been announced.
