CIA Struggles As Intelligence Players Proliferate

During the Cold War era, the CIA was the only U.S. spy agency. But as threats to national security have become more diverse, other government agencies — such as the FBI and the DEA — are recruiting foreign informants and pursuing their own intelligence leads.

U.S. Intel Officials Say Video Shows Nuclear Activity in Syria

Intelligence officials Thursday showed members of Congress videotape and other evidence to support their case that Syria was building a nuclear reactor with help from North Korea.

The site was bombed by Israeli planes last year. NPR's Tom Gjelten reports.
