Report: David Gregory To Host Meet The Press

Donklephant  Mon, 12/01/2008 - 6:51pm

I certainly hope not, but I can see the folks at NBC doing this since Gregory has more on camera experience and looks more polished.

Donklephant  Mon, 11/03/2008 - 9:26am

null

Well, tomorrow the election comes to its end.

As weary as most Americans probably are with the campaign, at least it’s provided a lot of drama and excitement.

Without further adieu, I offer my list of the best and worst moments and people of Campaign ’08. Feel free to share your own.

Sorest Loser: Bill Clinton

Most Gracious Loser: Mitt Romney

Most Past His Prime: Ralph Nader

McCain’s Experience Message Is Gone

Donklephant  Sat, 09/06/2008 - 10:23pm

When John picked Sarah, he took his campaign’s strongest asset off the table in favor of a wild card.

And apparently the McCain camp didn’t like the following interview so much that they canceled an appearance on Larry King Live.

Chuck Todd On Obama’s Speech

Donklephant  Fri, 08/29/2008 - 12:06am

He thought it showed a toughness we haven’t seen yet from the candidate.

Donklephant  Sat, 07/12/2008 - 11:24am

After Tony Snow’s death today, Pete Abel penned the following…

I’m 43.

When Tony was my age, if he’d known he had 10 years left, would he have done anything differently? If I could look in to the future and know the date of my death, would I do anything differently?

Would I work less, spend more time with my family? Would I stop getting up at 5 a.m. during the week to sneak in my 30-minute workout just so I can stop gaining weight at an exponential pace?

Brokaw To Take Over Meet The Press Until November

Donklephant  Sun, 06/22/2008 - 12:00pm

A good decision and I’m looking forward to his even-handed commentary…

Beginning June 29, Brokaw will replace Tim Russert, who died earlier this month from a heart attack, NBC News President Steve Capus said in a statement Sunday.

Russert and Malloy: Two Guys from South Buffalo

NPR Programs: Morning Edition  Wed, 06/18/2008 - 6:10am

Journalist Tim Russert made a name for himself by interviewing politicians and heads of state. But Russert also embraced the stories of everyday Americans.

In 2005, Russert interviewed James T. Malloy, a fellow Buffalo, N.Y., native living in Washington, as part of the StoryCorps oral history project.
