straight days

US stocks rise on bargain buying

BBC Finance  Thu, 11/13/2008 - 4:10pm

American shares rise strongly as bargain hunters pick up cheap stocks following three straight days of falls.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 4

Donklephant  Fri, 10/31/2008 - 9:02am

Obama - 51%
McCain - 47%

McCain gains one to regain the total he had a couple days ago.

But this looks like it’s probably the most he can get, as the remaining 2% will go to Barr, Nader, etc.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 3

Donklephant  Wed, 10/29/2008 - 10:07am

Obama - 50%
McCain - 47%

Obama loses one and McCain gains one as the numbers tighten further today.

Rasmussen: Obama Leads By 4

Donklephant  Mon, 10/20/2008 - 9:24am

Obama - 50%
McCain - 46%

McCain gains one and Obama loses one and the race has tightened a bit more than expected today.

I say this for two reasons.

First, by all indicators, Obama won the last debate.

Second, Powell endorsed Obama early on Sunday, so these numbers include that day as well.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 6

Donklephant  Sun, 10/19/2008 - 9:39am

Obama - 51%
McCain - 45%

Obama gains one and with the Colin Powell endorsement you can expect this lead to widen a bit.

The numbers…

Obama’s support has ranged from 50% to 52% every day for twenty-four straight days while McCain’s total has been between 44% and 46% during those days.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 4

Donklephant  Thu, 10/16/2008 - 10:20am

Obama - 50%
McCain - 46%

McCain gains one today, so maybe some of those attacks are actually working?

Rasmussen has more…

t’s the first time since September 25 that McCain’s support has reached 46%, but Obama has now enjoyed a four-to-eight point advantage for twenty-one straight days.

Gallup: Obama Up By 9

Donklephant  Sat, 10/11/2008 - 12:13pm

McCain gains one today, but he has been under the 45% mark for 15 straight days now.

Gallup talks trends…

Obama has led McCain by close to 10 points for each of the past six days, and by a statistically significant margin of at least four points for more than two weeks.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 6

Donklephant  Tue, 09/30/2008 - 9:34am

Obama - 51%
McCain - 45%

Obama adds one today and he matches his highest number since Rasmussen started polling his matchup with McCain in June.

Also, Obama has been at 50% or better for 5 straight days and has hit that mark 12 times.

On the other hand McCain has only hit 50% once. But this stretch for Obama represents the longest he has hit and held the mark.

Rasmussen: Obama Up By 5

Donklephant  Mon, 09/29/2008 - 8:41am

Obama - 50%
McCain - 44%

McCain gains one back today, but Obama has been at 50% for 4 straight days now.

So with only 36 days left until the election, one has to wonder what will be able to shift these numbers significantly enough in McCain’s favor since the only time he has really led is after the convention and the Palin announcement.

Rasmussen: McCain Up By 1, Tied

With leaners
