This meeting is very important.

We will discuss our future direction and efforts, possible plans for appealing our legal ruling, and the likely impact of our efforts on the city elections in May.

This past year, we made it clear that the neighborhoods oppose the Lincoln Property Company plan for Northcross Mall and the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Nearly twelve months ago we asked local residents, "Do you support or oppose building a Wal-Mart Supercenter at Northcross?" 2,759 respondents out of 3,239 said they opposed it.

That's 85.18% who said, "No" to the Lincoln Property plan!

How do you feel about it today? Come to our meeting and let us know.

Statement on Court Ruling

rg4n.org  Fri, 12/21/2007 - 6:54pm

Today, the 200th Judicial District Court of Travis County issued its ruling on our lawsuit. The court ruled that the site plan approval was consistent with city ordinances.

RG4N is disappointed with this verdict.

But we are not done fighting.

We are merely back where we were one year ago, when neighbors resoundingly said, "No!" to this irresponsible development.

And in the court of public opinion, Wal-Mart, Lincoln and the City of Austin have been losing since Day One.
