Following last week's Feature Film lineup announcement, today SXSW revealed the 11 films that will make up the genre-oriented Midnighter category as well as 135 short films that will span twelve different shorts programs.

Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2012.

Doubtless you’re excited about our upcoming evening of Roman Polanski’s short films with musical accompaniment by Polish duo Sza/Za.

That is this Sunday Nov 7 at 7pm. We just got a video from their performance of this show in NYC, and it looks even more fun and exciting then we imagined.

The city of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division is seeking short films and videos for its ‘Faces of Austin’ media program.

The program offers the shots on-demand on the widescreen video displays in the atrium of City Hall.

Films should, the guidelines say, ’ highlight Austin’s unique sense of place and diverse cultural identity.’

The deadline for film submissions is January 13, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.
