Wall Street reacted sharply to news that Congress failed to pass a $700 billion bailout bill this morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into a downward plunge by as much as 700 points.

When oil prices go up, so do natural gas prices, and both increases have a ripple effect on the economy. Shampoo bottles, pantyhose, buttons — you name it, and it requires oil or gas to make it.
