Obama loses one today, and McCain maintains a steady and paltry 41% of the electorate. How he’ll catch up is anybody’s guess, and the chances get slimmer with each passing day.

The race tightened up over the weekend, but now Obama has opened up the normal 3 point lead he has had over the past couple months.

He lost two from yesterday, and now Gallup and Rasmussen are telling us pretty much the same story…that Obama is slightly ahead of McCain, and the Arizona Senator simply can’t break through that 44% mark.

Still, the independent vote definitely seems like it’s still in play.



 

Obama Struggles to Woo Clinton Supporters

Hillary Clinton may have endorsed Barack Obama, but winning over her supporters may prove more difficult for Obama than many people thought. A new CNN survey shows that the number of Clinton supporters who plan to vote for Obama has actually decreased since early June from 60% to 54%.

Furthermore, 43% of Democrats now say they’d prefer Clinton to lead the ticket, up from 35% at the beginning of June.
