UNICEF estimates that more than 20,000 children lost their parents in the Jan. 12 quake and its aftermath. Relatives or neighbors are caring for many of these children.
Others, such as a group of boys in a Port-au-Prince park, are fending for themselves.

The death toll from Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti is not yet known, though it is expected to be high. That's partly because of low construction standards in the capital, Port-au-Prince, and partly because the magnitude 7 quake was centered so close to the city.
The fault, which had been quiet for years, released a huge amount of energy.

Port-Au-Prince is in ruins after Tuesday's major earthquake. It unclear how many people are dead, injured or trapped inside tons of rubble.
It was the strongest earthquake in the poor Caribbean nation in more than 200 years. The quake struck at the end of the work day.
Maggie Boyer of World Vision tells Deborah Amos once she went outside, it was clear how dramatic the quake had been.
