The Obama campaign has promised to contest all 50 states. Does that mean he plans to visit all 50? No, Obama has wisely chosen to say “contest” not “visit.” That is because he has learned an important lesson from the last President to try a 50-state campaign — Richard Nixon.

In 1960, Richard Nixon made even a better promise.

Nixon promised to visit all 50 states. He made that vow during his acceptance speech at the Republican Convention.



 

When You Count ALL The Votes, Obama Wins Popular Vote

Hillary is currently claiming she has won more popular votes than any other candidate in history, but don’t believe the hype folks.

That claim is only correct if you don’t count popular votes out of 4 caucus states.

Of course this hasn’t stopped the news orgs from repeating this myth, but let’s get into the real numbers.

Total Popular Vote, including FL
Obama: 17,535,458 - 48.1%
Clinton: 17,493,836 - 48.0%



 

Democratic Popular Vote Totals

With Florida and Michigan…and Iowa and Nevada and Maine and Washington.

That’s right…because if you’re going to count popular votes from states that really shouldn’t count, then why not include popular vote totals from states that held caucuses but didn’t release popular vote counts?

So, what would those totals be?

Clinton Loses Major Fundraiser

Hillary Clinton may have won Pennsylvania but she just lost a major fundraiser to Obama.

Gabriel Guerra-Mondragon – who served as ambassador to Chile during the Clinton administration – had raised close to half a million dollars for Clinton’s campaign, reports Chuck Todd, who broke the story.



 

Obama Wins Maryland

He may finish in or above the mid 60s in all 3 contest tonight. Quite a feat…
