Clemens to Be Indicted for Perjury in Doping Testimony

Former Longhorn pitcher Roger Clemens will be indicted on charges of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs, the New York Times reports.

In 2008, Clemens and his former trainer Brian McNamee testified under oath before a House Committee, and directly contradicted each other about whether Clemens had used the banned substances.

Clemens had two All-American seasons with the Longhorns in the 1980s before heading to a 24-year career in the major leagues where he won a record seven Cy Young awards.
