AISD Considers Closing Nine Austin Schools The Austin Independent School District’s Facility Master Plan Task Force has recommended closing Barton Hills, Brooke, Joslin, Oak Springs, Ortega, Pease, Sanchez and Zilker elementary schools and Pearce Middle School.

Wednesday Community Meeting to Discuss Future of Pearce

Planning Ahead, Austin  Tue, 07/14/2009 - 1:00am

A community meeting to explore options for students of Pearce Middle School, as a result of Education Commissioner Robert Scott’s decision to close the school, will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 15. The meeting will be in the gymnasium of Pearce, located at 6401 N. Hampton Drive. Translation services, a light dinner and childcare will be provided.
