At the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, President Obama said the world has come to perceive America as a unilateral actor in foreign policy, and he called for a "new era of engagement" to solve the world's problems.
He also restated his commitment to peace in the Middle East and addressed nuclear proliferation.
