Obama Calls For 'New Era' Of U.S. Foreign Policy

At the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, President Obama said the world has come to perceive America as a unilateral actor in foreign policy, and he called for a "new era of engagement" to solve the world's problems.

He also restated his commitment to peace in the Middle East and addressed nuclear proliferation.



 

After 40 Years, The Bed-In Reawakens

In 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent their honeymoon in bed, in an effort to promote a message of world peace.

Now, the World March for Peace and Nonviolence is bringing back the bed-in — in New York's Central Park — to raise awareness of nuclear proliferation.
