Austin police are responding to a bank robbery at the Prosperity Bank on North Loop.

Police are looking for a man after a fatal shooting overnight in the 100 block of West North Loop near Guadalupe.

We’ve been seeing quite a bit of Jamil Alam of Endeavor Real Estate around the hood lately. He attended last night’s Neighborhood Association meeting, as well as the last North Loop Planning Team meeting.

He hasn’t approached the NA leadership with any new plans, leaving us to wonder why he’s hanging around so much. Mr.

If you were planning on attending the Board of Adjustments meeting tonight to defend North Loop against Endeavor’s variance request, you can stay home.

The hearing has been postponed for the third time, verified over the phone by Susan Walker, the City caseworker handling the Endeavor / Howard’s case.

The hearing is now rescheduled for the January 14 BOA meeting.

We at I Love North Loop were contacted earlier this week by Allen Cowden of Centro Partners, another local Austin development firm.

Centro is interested in pursuing the Howard’s property, but has some different ideas about what could be done with apartments there, including the possibility of 3-story, owner-occupied townhomes along 56th, more green space, and different traffic routing.
