musical genius

Long live the Decemberists

Daily Texan  Tue, 11/01/2011 - 9:29am

Though The Decemberists released a few albums before Picaresque, that was the one that put them on the map.

Strange and wonderful, the album began with whale songs and each track came up with new and weird sounds to throw at listeners without alienating them.

Unfortunately, nothing The Decemberists have released before or since has matched the level of bizarre musical genius.

Robert Cray at Antone’s

Planning Ahead, Austin  Tue, 07/07/2009 - 3:14pm

This Friday, Rozone Productions is pleased to bring us the epicenter of the 1980’s blues revival – Robert Cray.

As an incredible blues guitarist and singer, Cray lends homage to icons such as Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, and Freddie King through musical influences present in his own work.

Robert Cray is a musical genius with a laundry list of highly acclaimed performances dating back to the beginning of his career in the 70’s.

His show at Antone’s this weekend will be no exception.
